What Is Your Favorite Bible Verse?
With so many verses to choose from, what is your favorite, go-to Bible verse? How do you narrow it down to just one verse?
Or do you have a favorite verse depending on the season that you are in?
Do you have a verse you want printed out to hang on the wall? Or to wear on a t-shirt? Do you have your verse on the bumper of your car?
My favorite over the years has been Philippians 4:13
“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
So many times, when faced with obstacles, and feeling on the verge of defeat, I would go to the Lord with this verse foremost in mind, and come back refreshed, knowing He will not fail me.
But there are moments when fear tries to conquer. My confidence is down and fear is trying to hold me back from taking that leap of faith. We know there’s no room for fear, so I turn to 2 Timothy 1:7:
“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind”
Today I was looking at another verse, which is so powerful when we apply it to our daily lives. Have you ever considered Job 42:2?
“I know that you can do all things; no purpose of yours can be thwarted.”
The Word of God is such a blessing in whatever situation we may be in. If you take the time to be still and listen, He will always give you exactly what you need.
Find the verse you need for the season you are in and cling to it!
