The Cure for Anxiety
Matthew 6:25-26 “For this reason I say to you, do not be worried about your life, as to what you will eat or what you will drink; nor for your body, as to what you will put on. Is life not more than food, and the body more than clothing? 26 Look at the birds of the sky, that they do not sow, nor reap, nor gather crops into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more important than they?
Often we are tempted to allow worry and fear to overwhelm us. Yet, Jesus laid it out simple for us. Today, as worry and stress tries to get a grip over you, meditate on the words of our Lord and Savior.
God will supply our needs, just as He does for the birds and plants. He is our supplier, our provider.
Our trust is in the Lord. He will move mountains for us. So do not worry, our God will see you through.
Psalm 46:10 He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”
Let Us Pray
Heavenly Father, my heart is troubled. I am overthinking everything. My hopes almost always seem to get dashed.
Oh Lord, give me the grace to trust in You. May I have the faith to set aside all worry and hold on to my faith.
Help me to remain calm in times of trouble and give me the patience to wait on the results, for I know everything will fall into place in Your perfect time.
My God, You will never leave me nor forsake me. Help me. Supply my needs today, Oh Lord. I choose this day to trust in You. I worry no more. I pray this in Jesus name, Amen!
