Psalm 121 Prayer
As a child, I would stand on the balcony and look out at the hills around. All the trees and greenery brought peace and relaxation. And I would wonder of the glory of our God who made all this. Whenever I felt stressed, upset or worried, I would spend time looking at the hills and remember that God is by my side. I will overcome.
Looking at the trees standing so majestic, so powerful, yet so peaceful, would remind me that if my God would take care of these things so well, even more so would He provide and take care of me. Maybe it was childish faith but indeed it was a blessing. It took me through many a rough time.
Today’s Prayer: Prayer for When I Feel Frustrated and Overwhelmed
Prayer:
Oh Heavenly Father, I look up to the mountains and hills, longing for Your help. It is then that I realize that our true help and protection come only from you Lord, our Creator who made the heavens and the earth.
Heavenly Father, I feel so stressed and overwhelmed. So many distractions and issues to deal with. My day goes by with so many things unfinished.
But Lord, I lift my eyes toward You. You give me rest. You give me peace of mind. You assure me that what is important will get done. You provide answers where there seemed to be none.
Lord, I lift my eyes towards you. I lay my burdens down before You and accept Your blessings. I trust in You and in Your Word. You are My Lord, My God , my everything.
Lord, I lift my eyes towards you. Everywhere is filled with evil and crime. But You protect me from all danger both day and night. You will keep me from every form of evil or calamity as You continually watch over me.
Today Lord, I bow before your throne of grace, where I receive mercy in my time of need. I surrender all to you. I give you thanks and praise. In Jesus name I pray, Amen!
