Prayer For God To Pour Out His Spirit Upon Them
Many of us have adult children or even grandchildren who we are keeping in prayer. Today, we start a mini series of prayers with bible verses for your adult children. If any of these prayers are of benefit to you, please share, like, and leave a comment below.
Acts 10:45 And those of the circumcision who believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out on the Gentiles also.
Our adult children, especially those who have not yet been saved or who have drifted away may be searching for something or someone to make them happy. We know that happiness can only be found in God.
Let us ask the Holy Spirit to pour His spirit upon them, so that our sons and daughters will prophesy, and our young men will see visions. We read in John 14:26, that Jesus promises the Spirit. The Helper, the Holy Spirit, will teach us all things, and bring to our remembrance, all that He has said to us.
Romans 5:5 Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.
Let Us Pray
Heavenly Father, I bring my (grand)children before you. Keep them safe, oh Lord. I cover them with the protective blood of Jesus. Oh Lord, pour out your Spirit upon them. Break them, humble them, bring them back to you, Lord. Search them Father and reveal all that is not of you so they will recognise their weaknesses and become better people.
Joel 2:28 And it shall come to pass afterward that I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh. Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your old men shall dream dreams, Your young men shall see visions.
Almighty God, it is my prayer, as I intercede on their behalf and stand in faith, that this is their season. They will begin to walk in righteousness and see new opportunities flooding their hearts and minds. Bless them with godly wisdom and understanding. May they have a discerning spirit. In Jesus name I pray, Amen!
