Prayer When Your Peace Is Disturbed
Colossians 3:8 – But now is the time to get rid of anger, rage, malicious behavior, slander, and dirty (abusive, filthy, vulgar) language.
Have you lost your peace? Has someone, or some event provoked you to the point where you have given way to anger, rage, some form of malicious behavior, or even obscene thoughts or words?
When life starts to swirl out of control, take the steps to bring back your peace. The Holy Spirit is that Godly peace within you. Yield control of your life back to Jesus Christ.
Don’t allow these events of the day to place a wedge between you and God. Stop now. Recognize who you are in the kingdom of God. God cares for you. God is love (1 John 4:8), and the Bible says His plans for us are always good (Jer. 29:11).
Let Us Pray
Heavenly Father, I’ve allowed others to disturb my peace. My spirit is not where it should be. Oh Lord, fill me with Your peace. Calm my soul. May I be an example of others of the love of God within me.
My God, Your Word reminds me that you care for me. As these circumstances try to overwhelm me, fill me with your peace and joy. Help me to control my anger and rage, Oh Lord. Let my words be always uplifting and a blessing rather than a curse.
May the Holy Spirit consume and heal my heart, today, so that I may have once again that overflowing joy and peace that passes all understanding. In Jesus’ all-powerful name I pray, AMEN!
