Prayer When People Keep Disappointing You

Dear Lord, I thank you because You do not change. You are not a man to lie, neither are You a son of man for You to change your mind.

AD!

You are faithful, and those who look to, and rely on You will never be put to shame.

Your faithfulness is my shield, your love and peace is my stronghold. Your word nourishes my soul. Your promises soothe me.

You look out for me, and You are continually concerned about me. You are Yahweh-Shalom, the Lord, my peace.

Lord, I feel disappointed. My hopes are defeated and I’m crushed. I trusted in people without caution, instead of trusting in You.

I had expectations that were not met. Now I feel disappointed and I came to vent to You.

John 2:24 But Jesus on his part did not entrust himself to them, because he knew all people.

2 Corinthians 12:9 But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.

Grant Me Peace

Please grant me your peace and joy. Let the peace of God, that surpasses all understanding, guard my heart and mind. Take away these feelings of disappointment and loneliness.

Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Deuteronomy 31:8 The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.”

You Never Disappoint Me

Yes, people may fail me and disappoint me, but You will always heal me. People may leave me, but You alone will stay.

Lord, I look to You, for You will never disappoint me. You will never forsake me. You are my shoulder to lean on.

I thank You for always being here for me. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.

2 Corinthians 4:17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory.

Isaiah 40:28-31 Have you not known? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary; his understanding is unsearchable. He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength. Even youths shall faint and be weary, and young men shall fall exhausted; but they who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.
