Prayer When life gets you down

Romans 8:31 What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?

Life can be difficult and sometimes it may seem that you are continually in a dark place. Have you ever wondered how some people always seem to be happy despite what’s going on around them?

Your outlook on life changes when you understand God’s will for your life. When you purpose in your heart to keep your eyes on the Lord, you can smile each and every day. Your hope is in the Lord. Trust Him!

That’s why Job was able to endure all that he did. Job was described as blameless and upright. Job feared (respected) God and shunned evil. In spite of all that he suffered, he fell on his knees and worshiped the Lord, saying “The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away. May the name of the Lord be praised!”

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, I give you all the glory. At this time, my world seems upside down. While others are blooming, I’m hurting. But Lord, I look towards you as the author and finisher of my faith.

Though many are saying of me, “God will not deliver him.” Yet, I know that you,  Oh LORD, are a shield around me, my protector and my helper. You lift my head high. 

Lord, you sustain me. Though many rise up against me, I will not fear. Thank you, Lord, for your blessing and mercy. Lift my soul and fill me with your joy. Bring back my smile and joy. Give me peace of heart and spirit. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
