Prayer to Reactivate/ Restore my Spiritual Gifts
There are people who have lost touch with certain spiritual virtues like Samson in the bible. They used to have dreams that come to pass, but all of a sudden they only dream about eating and going to the mall. They used to have angelic encounters, but it is all history now.
Maybe you were prayed for and you received an impartation or spiritual ability, but you did not know how to fan it to flame. Or, if it were not that your gift became inactive, you would be walking in a notable level in the prophetic or in the teaching grace or in that gift of the spirit that God has given you.
“When I gave my life to Christ, I had a special gift of seeing open visions and dreaming accurate dreams. I used to see visions even while in the class. It was so easy to know things, I didn’t even have to ask God about them specifically. All I did was to be in the Holy Ghost. But something happened. And the clarity of the visions dropped. I thought I had lost my gift, but God is merciful”
You know, when God gives you a gift, when He calls you or when He gives you a special grace, He doesn’t take it away from you. You may feel like God has taken away your gift, but the Bible tells us that God’s callings are irrevocable. All you need to do is to reactivate them. Like Samson, “grow that hair back”.
Romans 11:29 (AMP) For God’s gifts and His call are irrevocable. [He never withdraws them when once they are given, and He does not change His mind about those to whom He gives His grace or to whom He sends His call.]
You know where you are slacking in your spiritual life. Today, find strength as you pray for grace to catch up.
Let Us Pray
Dear Lord, how awesome is Your love. You are generous and ready to give, Lord. Let your name be magnified, as I proclaim your greatness. You are the One who sits enthroned above the circle of the earth. You stretch out the heavens like a curtain, and spread them out like a tent. You bring princes to naught and reduce the rulers of this world to nothing (Isaiah 40:22-23).
You are the great and awesome One, just and right are You. You are the Alpha and the Omega. You are the first and the last, and besides You there is no other God. You are the Rock that is higher than I. Oh I hail You my King.
Deuteronomy 32:39 See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god with me: I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal: neither is there any that can deliver out of my hand.
Lord, I come before You in the NAME of Jesus Christ. I confess my wrongs before You God. I have not sought after You wholeheartedly. There were times that I gave my phone, the internet and my children more love than I gave to You, idolizing them. Sometimes I think, speak and do things that do not please You.
Lord, I receive your forgiveness right now. Thank You for nailing my sins on the cross. Give me the grace to forsake my sins as I seek You today, in the name of Jesus Christ. Let my inner man be cleansed, restored and empowered to walk in your way, in Jesus’s name.
Lord Jesus, the Bible says when You ascended on high, You gave gifts to men. But Lord, my gift is not active anymore, it is as if I lost it.
Ephesians 4:8 (WEB) Therefore he says, “When he ascended on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts to men.”
Lord, any gift of the Spirit that I once had, any dimension of the Spirit that once worked in me, but for some reason known and unknown to me has stopped working, let there be restoration, in the name of Jesus Christ.
I used to have dreams coming to pass, but they have disappeared, Lord, let them come back in the name of Jesus Christ. Lord, I used to have angelic encounters and ministrations. My prophetic dimension was deeper than this, but I don’t know what happened. Let there be a restoration, oh Lord.
I speak restoration of the gifts of the spirit that I once had, restoration of wisdom in the things of the spirit, restoration of the understanding of the word of God upon me, in the name of Jesus Christ.
Lord, restore your presence to me. Let me go in a place where someone is having a bad day, and let them automatically receive joy by the reason of your presence in me. Give me the zeal to pray, meditate on your word and to fast like before. In the name of Jesus Christ. Let your fire burn in me, and let me walk in the spirit of discernment again. In the name of Jesus Christ.
Thank You Faithful God for answering me. Thank You for the restoration of every spiritual virtue upon me. Thank You that my prayer life will never be the same again and my dreams are restored, in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
