Romans 8:1 – There is therefore now NO CONDEMNATION to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.

Do you truly believe and accept that you no longer face any condemnation? The enemy would often throw reminders at you, so that you begin to doubt that God still loves you.

You will be reminded of long past sins or events, to break your joy and fill you with shame.

It’s time to let go of the past. As it states in 1 John 1:9, if we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Let us pray

Heavenly Father, I am overcome and burdened by these feelings of guilt and shame. Lord, I know this is not from you.

Abba Father, I can’t seem to let go of my past. The shame I feel about how I’ve lived my life. The things I’ve done, and the guilt as a result.

I surrender everything to You. I repent of my past sins. Lord, I know that I have already been forgiven because of the sacrifice at the cross. I confess that my sins are washed away by the blood of Jesus. I pray to be led by the Holy Spirit and not be controlled by my emotions. In Jesus name, Amen.
