Prayer to overcome fear

Psalm 27:1 The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The LORD is the strength of my life. Of whom shall I be afraid?

AD!

Are you filled with fear about life, decisions, what direction to take next, changing jobs and more? Our God has not given us a spirit of fear but of power and love and a very sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7)! You have what it takes within you!

 Psalm 56:3 When I am afraid, I will trust in you.

Listen to the Lord. He will guide you through. Often, we don’t take the time to go to the Lord and seek his direction and wisdom. Instead we allow fear and anxiety to be at the core of our decision-making instead of faith and trust in the Lord.

 Isaiah 41:10 – Fear thou not; for I am with you: be not dismayed; for I am your God: I will strengthen you; yes, I will help you; yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.

Prayer

Heavenly and loving Father, fill me with your wisdom. I’m confused and distracted. The weight of all these decisions fill me with fear and dread. But you, oh Lord, are my source of courage, strength and peace. 

 Walk me through these decisions. Lord, remove all doubt and bring clarity that I may move forward in confidence. I declare and decree that anxiety and fear will not get the better of me. I will find clarity of thought and true valor in You. In Jesus’ mighty name we pray, Amen!!
