Prayer to Help Me Forgive Others

Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for sending your Son to die for my sins. In Him, You forgave my sins and reconciled me to yourself. You showed me your love in the death of Christ, and gave me life in His resurrection. Thank you Father.

AD!

Ephesians 4:31-32. Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.

Colossians 3:13. bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do.

Oh Lord, I have been hurt and disappointed by others, and there is pain in my heart. I’m trying to let go but the scenarios keep replaying in my mind. My anger towards the people has turned into bitterness.

But, I know your word says that if I cannot forgive others, then my heavenly Father will  also not forgive me.

Matthew 6:15. But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

Please, help me to let go of hurt and to release all resentment. I do realize that bitterness has taken away my joy and peace. Help me to heal so that I can be happy again. Help me to let go so I can be free. Help me to forgive so I can enjoy life in peace.

Today, I roll all my pain to You. I cast every burden and trouble to You. Oh Lord, take over. Give me love in my heart to love the offenders. Give me peace, and heal me. Forgive me for holding onto others’ wrongs. In the all powerful name of Jesus Christ I pray, Amen.

1 Peter 5:7. Casting the whole of your care [all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares for you affectionately and cares about you watchfully.
