Prayer to be faithful to God, even during the storms of this life
We serve a faithful God. Even in the face of disappointments, we can trust Him at His word. As we begin the see the power of prayer and God’s faithfulness in our lives, and in the lives of others, it becomes easier to keep our eyes on the Lord.
The enemy is constantly trying to distract us and lure us away from the path the Lord has set for us. Keep your eyes on the Lord and not on the waves. He will take you through the storms safely.
God is not looking for perfect people. He is simply searching for those who will be devoted to Him. Yes, we do fail sometimes. But we get up, confess, and trust that our God has forgiven us.
Psalms 12:1 “Help, Lord, for the godly man ceases! For the faithful disappear from among the sons of men.”
What a poor indictment against our society! God is looking for faithful men and women. The body of Christ is in desperate need of faithful men and women. Men and women who trust in the Lord and are willing to follow Him and fulfill their purpose. Will you commit to being one of them?
Proverbs 28:20 A faithful (right-minded) man will abound with blessings, But he who hurries to be rich will not go unpunished.
When you have doubts about God’s blessings on your life, read Proverbs 28:20. God will reward your faithfulness. When you are faithful, you will be well supplied by God, and filled with God’s overflowing blessings!
2 Timothy 2:22 Flee the evil desires of youth and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, along with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
Let us Pray
Heavenly and merciful Father, help me to be faithful, even amidst the storms of this life. May I keep my focus on You, oh Lord, and your purpose for my life. Open my heart to desire Godly things and to shun evil.
Oh Lord, bless me with righteousness. Grow my faith as I exercise my faith in you daily. Teach me to love just as You so loved the world, that You gave your only begotten Son, that I may have everlasting life.
My Lord, I pray for your peace that passes all understanding. Oh Lord, even as the storm rages around me, may I stand in peace, knowing that You walk with me. In Jesus mighty name I pray, Amen.
