Prayer. Thank You Lord In Advance
A prayer for when you are waiting on God.
At any given point, we all have a prayer request to God, and are waiting on Him and trusting Him for something.
But what are you doing in your waiting season? Are you being impatient? Are you complaining? Are you losing hope?
There is something you could do that will please God during your waiting season: Just thank Him. God loves to be thanked. He loves to be trusted. When you thank God even when you don’t have the manifestation of your answer, it pleases Him.
Hebrews 11:1. Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
The Bible says your faith is the proof of the things you hope for. Your faith is the confirmation of your answered prayers. Giving thanks is a sign of faith.
But, sometimes we lack faith. We know God can, but we don’t know if He will. Sometimes we know He will, but probably some other time when we are already tired of waiting.
Usually, whenever I feel unsure, I remind myself of what He said to me, and I just allow myself to rely on Him, because His plans for my life will always be better than my own plans.
Isaiah 65:24. Even before they finish praying to me, I will answer their prayers.
Matthew 6:8. “Therefore do not be like them. For your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask Him.”
Isaiah 58:9. Then you shall call, and the Lord will answer; You shall cry, and He will say, ‘Here I am.’…
and Jeremiah 29:12. Then you will call upon Me, and you will come and pray to Me, and I will hear and heed you.
Isn’t this amazing? We usually tend to believe that God is looking at us closely to record our sins, but we don’t believe that He is lending us an ear to listen to our prayers.
Indeed, He has heard our prayers. Indeed He has answered us. As we wait for the manifestation, let us give Him thanks.
Let Us Pray
Oh great and marvelous One! How faithful are You our God! You have a mighty arm; Strong is Your hand, and high is Your right hand.
You rule the raging of the sea. When the waves rise, You still them. How awesome are Your works! All the earth shall worship You and sing praises to Your name.
Almighty Father, I thank you for what You are about to do in my life. You have never failed me and You won’t start now. Thank you that You have answered my prayers, and I shall have what I prayed for.
I thank You for a new job. I thank You for the fruit of the womb. Thank You for peace in my home. Thank You for God-fearing children. Thank you faithful God. In the name of Jesus Christ I pray, Amen.
