Prayer: Praising Your Way Out of Challenges!
Are you suffering lack? PRAISE GOD! Have you just gotten retrenched? PRAISE GOD. Your marriage is about to break? PRAISE HIM.
Maybe your health is not getting better? PRAISE HIM. Things aren’t going your way? Lift your hands and PRAISE GOD. Or maybe all is well? Again, PRAISE GOD!
Have you ever asked yourself why the prison gates opened when Paul and Silas praised God in prison? Or why the prisoners’ chains were loosed?
We read in Acts 16:25-26, “But about midnight, as Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns of praise to God, and the other prisoners were listening to them, Suddenly there was a great earthquake so that the very foundations of the prison were shaken. And at once, all the doors were opened, and everyone’s shackles were unfastened.”
Have you ever asked yourself why the walls of Jericho broke and fell down after the Israelites marched around it, praising God for 7 days? Or why did the Bible command us to rejoice in the Lord?
Joshua 6:20 reads: “So the people shouted, and the trumpets sounded. When they heard the blast of the trumpet, the people gave a great shout, and the wall collapsed. The people advanced into the city, each man straight ahead, and they captured the city.”
PRAISE IS A DANGEROUS WEAPON OF MASS DESTRUCTION!!
What is your Jericho today? March around it in PRAISE! PRAISE your way out of your unemployment. PRAISE your way out of your singleness!
You don’t know what to praise about? PRAISE Him for what He has done before. PRAISE him for what He is doing now. PRAISE Him for what He is about to do concerning your situation.
Let Us Pray
Praising God in the midst of stormy relationships
Abba Father, I praise you for blessing my family relationships and for restoration, peace, and mutual understanding. I pray that my family will live in peaceful dwelling places, in secure homes, and in undisturbed places of rest.
Praising God in Debt
Almighty Father, I praise you for blessing me with a job. I know many are unemployed, but by your grace, I have employment, I have an income. Lord, I might be in debt now, but I thank You that You are taking me out of this yoke. You are the God who made a way through the waters, and you promised to cause streams of water to flow in the desert. I praise You that you are making a way for me to get out of this debt.
Isaiah 41:18. I will open up rivers for them on high plateaus. I will give them fountains of water in the valleys. In the deserts, they will find pools of water. Rivers fed by springs will flow across the dry, parched ground.
Psalms 107:35. He turns a wilderness into pools of water, And dry land into water springs.
Praising God in ill health
Heavenly Father, I praise You for the gift of life. I know the doctor said I am unwell, but You are the Healer that specialised in healing hopeless situations and saving in desperate moments. Thank You for having the final say in my health. I praise you for the good health you have bestowed upon me. In the name of Jesus Christ, I declare I am healed.
Psalms 103:2-3. Bless the Lord, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits: Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases,
Praising God While Unemployed
Father, I praise you for being my Provider. You provide me with daily bread and a shelter to call home. I may not be employed right now, but I want to praise You for the job that is coming my way. You have done it before, and You will do it again. Thank You for providing all my needs each and every day, as You promised in Your Word. Thank You, Lord.
In the most precious name of Jesus Christ, we praise God, Amen.
