AD!

Isaiah 46:4. Even to your old age and gray hairs I am He, I am He who will sustain you. I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you.

Let Us Pray

Dear Heavenly Father, Your name is El-ROI, the Lord my Shepherd. Despite it all, I am never forsaken. You are always with me as a shepherd stays with His sheep. You go out with me and come back in with me. You make me to lie down in green pastures. You restore, refresh and revitalize my soul.

My God, You protect me and shield me. You lay down your life for me, like a shepherd for his sheep.

My Lord, Your word says even to my old age and gray hairs You are He; You are He who will sustain me. You will carry me and rescue me.

Lord, I know there will never be a moment where I will do life alone.

Yet, sometimes I feel forgotten, rejected, and unwanted. I feel insignificant and I feel like I am a burden.

Psalms 27:10. When my father and my mother forsake me, then the Lord will take care of me.

But Lord, I know that You love me, and You made me for a purpose. Before I was formed in my mother’s womb, You knew me, and planned out everything I am coming to do and be.

Therefore, I know that I am not forsaken. I may be a parental accident, but I am not, and can never be, a divine accident. Your Word says even if my mother and father forsake me, You will warmly embrace me in Your arms. Your rod and your staff, they will comfort me.

Philippians 4:6. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.

ABBA Father, help me to understand and realize that in every stage of my life, You are with me, to carry and sustain me till the very end.

In the good and the bad, in the stormy and the peaceful, You are with me. When I am frail and discouraged, You are with me to strengthen me.

Help me to recognize that even when I am rejected by men, I am accepted, embraced and accommodated by You my Lord.

I can walk through life with confidence and hope, because I know my Redeemer lives, and He is my Shepherd. May my strength be renewed, day by day, by this knowledge.

In the all-powerful name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ I pray,  Amen.
