Prayer – Do Not Be Dismayed

Joshua 1:9 “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

AD!

Dear Lord, sometimes I find myself discouraged, depressed and yielding to fear. I allow myself to sink into worrying and my heart to be burdened, thinking of where the next breakthrough will come from.

But Father, your promises are Yes and Amen in Christ. Please, help me to remain firm in faith in the day of adversity. Help me not to be discouraged and dismayed in the face of trouble.

Let my faith and confidence be in the name of Jesus. For the name of the Lord is a strong tower, the righteous run into it and are safe.

John 16:33 I have told you these things, so that in Me, you may have peace and confidence. In the world, you have tribulation and trials and distress and frustration. But be of good cheer! For I have overcome the world.

Oh Lord, may I understand that in this world I will have trouble, but Jesus has overcome the world for me.

So dear Lord, may I not go off from the narrow way that leads to eternal life, because of adversity. Many are the afflictions of the righteous but You shall deliver him from them all.

Heavenly Father, I know that you do not want me to be troubled or overcome with fear. Peter walked on the water by faith in Jesus, and he sunk by fear when he fixed his eyes on the raging waves of the sea.

Help me to fix my eyes on You, so that I will not see the waves of the sea as Peter did and sunk. But, may I walk above the storm, troubles, debts and testing times.

Romans 12:12 Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.

Isaiah 41:10 ‘Fear not, for I am with you. Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’

Lord, through the loneliness, rejection, joblessness, disappointments, sickness, broken relationships and hardships, You are with me and Your desire is for me to experience Your peace through it all.

Today, I choose confidence and faith over fear. In Jesus’ all-powerful name I pray, Amen.

John 14:27 Peace, I leave with you, My peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
