Prayer And Bible Verses For When You Just Snap

Psalm 37:8 Stop being angry! Turn from your rage! Do not lose your temper – it only leads to harm.

AD!

Every day, we face situations that can lead to us getting angry with others. We can all identify certain triggers that may lead to us getting anger. But the Bible speaks volumes against allowing anger to control us.

Psalm 37:8 is clear and simple. Stop being angry. Do not lose your temper, regardless of the reason. Anger prevents you from reaching out and enjoying the joy of the Lord.

Proverbs 29:22 An angry person stirs up conflict, and a hot-tempered person commits many sins.

The Bible tells us that a person with anger will stir up conflicts with others and commit many sins. In other words, they will make life difficult for those around them and cause themselves significant harm in the process. When anger is allowed to grow, it leads to trouble and sin.

Ecclesiastes 7:9 Do not be quickly provoked in your spirit, for anger resides in the lap of fools.

So do not allow your feelings and anger to control you. Take control over your anger, smile more, laugh more, and praise the Lord! You are designed by God to overcome and bless others. Now is the time to let go of all anger and allow the Holy Spirit to guide your thoughts and feelings.

Let Us Pray

Oh Heavenly Father,  As circumstances try to overwhelm me, fill me with your peace and joy. Help me to control and remove completely my anger and rage, Oh Lord. Remove any anxiety and fear from within me. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.
