I’m saved, it’s okay to sin?
Romans 6:1,2 What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? By no means! We are those who have died to sin; how can we live in it any longer?
We count ourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus (Romans 6:11). As such, we have put aside sin. There are consequences to sin. In addition, sin separates us from God. We are anew in Christ. As such, we have put aside the sin nature.
As a child of the living God, do others see Christ in your daily life?
So examine your life today. Are you still living in sin? Go to the Father, repent and allow the Holy Spirit to guide you.
Acts 3:19 – Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, I’m tired of living a life, struggling daily with sin. It keeps me from being intimate with you, Lord. You know my heart. I repent of my iniquity. I’ve been lured away by my selfish desires. But now I humbly come to you. Fill me with the joy I once knew. Set me free from the bondage of sin. Wash me in the cleansing blood of Jesus. In Jesus name I pray, Amen!
