Evening Prayer – The Lord provides for those He loves

Psalm 127:2 (Easy-to-Read Version) It is a waste of time to get up early and stay up late,
trying to make a living. The Lord provides for those He loves, even while they are sleeping.

Don’t be slothful and lazy. But don’t kill yourself trying to make a living. Learn to trust in the Lord and let Him lead you and guide your steps. Just as prayer and worship are important, so’s sleep and rest.

Beware of the false idea that the more you work, the more you will make. The opposite is true: work hard, but don’t work so much that it hurts your health, relationships, family, and your relationship with God.

Let Us Pray

Heavenly and Loving Father, I thank You for this evening. ThankYou for the precious gift of life. Thank You for all the blessings You have given me. I thank You for all You have done to bless others through me today. May Your name be glorified in heaven and on earth.

Lord, I commit to You this night. May Your angels watch over my family. Bless my household with Your peace that passes all understanding. I refuse any spirit of fear and scary dreams. May our dreams be healthy and good.

Let no plan of the enemy prosper in our lives. The blood of Jesus covers this household. Your love and peace prevail always.

Oh Lord, as we lay down to sleep, please protect and cover us. May Your angels watch over us. As we enter this time of rest, may we be mindful of the love of Jesus who is our Savior and Lord. Amen.
