Evening Prayer For Missing Peace

Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

As the evening approaches, we used to sit and relax every day, watching the sun slowly set beyond the horizon. There was something so peaceful and beautiful about seeing the rays of sunlight breaking through the low clouds, revealing a rainbow of beautiful colors. The world seemed so much more peaceful and quiet then. 

Today, we never seem to have enough time to truly rest and enjoy the works of the Lord. Allow yourself the luxury of abiding with the Lord. Enjoy His peace. Close out, at least the noise and confusion of the world around you, for a few minutes . Rest in God and be blessed!

Evening Prayer:

Heavenly Father, as we come to the end of this day, I pray that You will spread your protective arms over my family. Let your protecting angels go before us to light and make safe our paths. Envelope us in Your peace. Quell the anger and remove the frustrations.

Dear God, as I lay down to sleep, release the stress and tension in my body. Calm my thoughts and remove all restlessness. I give you thanks for all Your blessings upon my life. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
