Don’t Block Your Blessings (by giving up too easily)

2 Chronicles 15:7 But as for you, be strong and do not give up, for your work will be rewarded.

All so often, we give up long before the battle has even started. Instead of completing the course, we look at the success of others and take our eyes off the Lord. Giving up too easily, in prayer and effort, is another sign of lack of faith. There are some things that take years to come to full maturity. 

Galatians 6:9 Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.

Galatians reminds us to not grow weary of doing the right things, knowing that, at the appropriate time, the harvest will be ours. When your faith is tested and trials come your way, you can either give up or trust God to take you through the struggles to the other end where your blessings await.

Let us Pray

Heavenly Father, you are my strength when I am weak. You give me the perseverance to keep on going. Lord, at times everything seems so tough. It seems impossible to carry on. So many obstacles stand in my way. 

But you are always by my side. When I trust in you, you open doors and perfect solutions. The greater the trials, the greater your love for me.

Lord, help me to keep on “keeping on” and to never give up. I am an overcomer. In Jesus name!
