Prayer:  Something New is Coming

Dear Lord Jesus, thank You for being a high priest between man and the Father. The Bible says that You are touched with the feelings of my infirmity, for You were once tempted, yet without sin.

AD!

Lord, You know it is difficult for me to fully let go of my worries and fears, when I don’t know what You are doing, or what Your plans are for me.

My mind feels like nothing is moving, and my eyes see no change happening in my life. My heart is tired, my strength is worn out. I feel I have been in this situation for eternity. I seem to be stagnant and in circles, and there is little to no progress in my endeavors.

Isaiah 43:19. Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.

You Keep Your Word

But Lord, today I want to pause and remind myself of Your sovereignty and faithfulness. None of Your words ever fails or returns to You void, but what You say is what You do.

You have a track record of keeping your word, and You are the Answerer of prayers. You put children in the arms of barren women like Hannah, and rewrite the stories of those who are written off, like Elizabeth.

Even those who have absolutely disobeyed You and “depleted” Your grace upon them, like Samson, there is still hope for them in You. To your goodness and kindness, there’s no ending.

I Choose To Believe

So Lord, today I intentionally choose to believe in You. I believe that You are at work in my life right now, and something new is coming my way.

I pick up all the broken pieces of my hope as I come to You again. I choose to forget the past, because I want to see the new thing that You are doing in my life. I want to see it spring forth.

My dependency is in You. Come and do what only You can do. I know in my heart that You have great plans for my life, and You will fulfill them. No matter what I feel, no matter what I see, I choose to believe in You.

Even if my life feels dry like a desert, I believe because You said You will make rivers to flow in the desert. It may seem like there’s no way possible, but the good news is that, You even promised to make a way in the wilderness.

Jeremiah 29:11. “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

Something New Is About To Happen!

So Lord, today I close my eyes to my circumstances and distractions. I close my eyes to my debts. I close my eyes to my marital problems.

I choose to see with my eyes of faith, for we do not walk by sight, but by faith. I see thick clouds. It is about to rain abundance. It is about to rain peace and joy. I am about to testify. Something new is about to happen!

2 Corinthians 5:7. For we walk by faith, not by sight.

So Lord, I want to abide in You as You abide in me. I want to partner with You as I wait on You. You will refresh me and put a new song in my mouth. Thank You Father. Thank You Lord Jesus. Thank You Holy Spirit. In the name of Jesus Christ I pray, Amen.
