???? The Power Of A Humble Spirit!
Ephesians 4:2 Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.
Does pride get in the way of your spiritual life, even your blessings? Pride causes you to only see things your way. You wouldn’t forgive, because they don’t deserve it. You wouldn’t help someone, because they do not deserve your help. Despite what the Holy Spirit is urging you to do, you remain proud and stubborn.
Philippians 2:8 And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.
Even Jesus had to humble himself. It requires humility to walk in obedience. There are times God will ask you to do things that seem difficult. Your spirit wants to repel and ask why. That’s when you need to do as Jesus did and just humble yourself before the Lord!
2 Kings 5:10 Elisha sent a messenger to say to the king, “Go, wash yourself seven times in the Jordan, and your flesh will be restored and you will be cleansed.”
It continues that the king was so angry with the instruction. Why couldn’t he have been sent to a better, cleaner river? But eventually, he humbled himself and followed the instructions and received his healing.
When we walk in humility and do as God asks us to, we reap healing, success, promotion, growth and breakthroughs.
So let’s pray: Prayer for a Humble and Godly Spirit
