Prayer for when you just can’t pray
There are times when you want to pray but you can’t gather the strength to do so. Often, it is not because we don’t have prayer points. It is just that season we are in, where we are overwhelmed, over challenged, or heavily pressed down.
Whatever it is that is causing you not to pray, remember that the presence of hardships does not negate the presence of God in your life. God loves you and is interested in every tiny detail of your life.
Matthew 10: 30 But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.
That is how much He cares for you. God has no child whose number of hairs he doesn’t know. As you pray this prayer, rest in God.
Let us Pray
Oh Holy Spirit of God, You are my Helper! Come and Help me now, in the name of Jesus Christ! It is your will that I pray Lord, empower me and strengthen me to pray.
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 Rejoice always, PRAY WITHOUT CEASING, give thanks in all circumstances; FOR THIS IS THE WILL OF GOD in Christ Jesus FOR YOU.
By your Spirit and by your power, open up my spirit to your Spirit. Let me receive an infilling of your divine power and strength to pray, in the name of Jesus Christ. It is not by my own power nor by might but by your Spirit, oh God.
Psalm 34:5 They looked to Him and were radiant, and their faces were not ashamed.
O Lord, I look unto you now. Pour upon me your Spirit without measure. For I know not what I ought to pray. Let your Spirit help me in my weakness, in the name of Jesus Christ. Let this prayerlessness be broken now, in the name of Jesus Christ.
I refuse to worry, I refuse to complain. I take upon me the yoke of Jesus; for His yoke is easy and his burden is light. I cast every worry, every care, that is causing me not to pray, upon Jesus.
Give me your grace to pray effective prayers: prayers which will move mountains, prayers which will birth turnarounds, prayers which will bring transformation, not only in my own life, but also in the lives of others. Give me grace to pray prayers which make possible what seems impossible, in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen!
