Prayer: God Is In Control

Sometimes life events seem to get completely out of hand. The enemy attempts to put us into situations that test the very foundations of our faith!

AD!

The good news is, when you are a child of God, God is in control of your life, and Satan cannot touch you without God’s permission. Even if Satan throws something at you, it will not reach you if it is not God’s will.

The Bible says that no weapon fashioned against you will prosper. Whatever is thrown against you, God will turn it around for your good.

Isaiah 54:17 “No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, And their righteousness is from Me,” Says the Lord.

Romans 8:28. We know that God works all things together for good for the ones who love God, for those who are called according to his purpose.

The Holy Spirit is with you. God is continually looking after you and looking out for you. Nothing will happen in your life without Him filtering it to bring out the best from you, and for you.

Let Us  Pray

Dear Lord, thank You for being faithful, loving and intentional about me. Thank You for being mindful about me; for the plans You have for me are good plans, plans to prosper me and not to harm me, plans to give me hope and an expected end.

Isaiah 54:10. The mountains may shift, and the hills may be shaken, but my faithful love won’t shift from you, and my covenant of peace won’t be shaken, says the Lord, the one who pities you.

Jeremiah 29:11. For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

Lord, there are times I feel out of control of my life. I feel like everything is not going according to my plans.

Please, teach me to understand that Your plans are not my plans, and Yours will always be better and superior. Help me to trust in You, and to believe You will work out all things for my good.

Isaiah 55:8. “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” says the LORD.”

Your word says I should trust in You with all my heart, and I should not lean on my own understanding. Lord, help me to trust You when I don’t understand “why”.

Help me to trust in You when my plans are different from Yours. Help me to be patient and to acknowledge your Lordship over me in my troubles. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ I’ve prayed, Amen.

In closing, I leave you with this verse. Proverbs 3:5. Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.
