Proverbs 18:14 The spirit of a man will sustain him in sickness, but who can bear a broken spirit?
A strong spirit sustains you through good and bad times. Regardless of the circumstances, the spirit of a godly man will sustain him.
2 Timothy 3:1 (AMP): But understand this, that in the last days will come (set in) perilous times of great stress and trouble (hard to deal with and hard to bear).
Yes, we live in tough, stressful times. All the more that we should develop a strong spirit.
Proverbs 24:10 (AMP) If you faint in the day of adversity, your strength is small.
Note, it doesn’t say that your adversity is strong, but that your strength, your spirit is weak. In the Lord, you are an overcomer. You will be ready to stand in the day of adversity!
