Prayer – Forget the past and push forward – Video

Philippians 3:13 (NLT) No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead,

We have endured so many difficult situations and people in our lives. But the Apostle Paul has made his focus clear. He has chosen to forget the things of the past. He has decided to focus on the future and not be held back by his past.

It’s important that we don’t let things from our past hold us back from living a fulfilling life. 

Release the hurt, the pain, the mistakes and failures of the past. Sure, we learn from the mistakes we have made, but we go forward without being held back by them.

Be assured, as you try to move on, the enemy will attempt to remind you of the past. 

You may hear songs or memories may pop up in your mind, that bring back those events. Instead of reliving these bad thoughts, break them in the name of Jesus. 

 Resist the devil and he will flee! Trust in the Lord, keep your eyes on Him.

Let Us Pray

Oh Heavenly and Gracious Father, thank you for Your grace and mercy upon my life. Oh Lord, fill me with the grace to forget and move on from the past. 

May I press forward to all the great things You have in store for me.

Give me the strength to let go and release the past. I cast all my burden unto You, Father, because You care for me. 

As I surrender my all to You, help me to always remember that I can let go and let God. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
