“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.” Jeremiah 1:5, NIV
Christians are called by God to be set apart in Christ. We are supposed to be transformed and to act and think differently than the world thinks. Yet you may find yourself comparing yourself to others and wanting to fit in.
We are not called to conform. Our call as followers of Christ is to be set apart because Jesus was set apart.
When Christ is at work in our life, we begin to desire the things of God, not the things of the world.
We smile when ours complain. We are filled with joy, even when others are sad. We are rich, even when others think we are poor.
Through the grace of God we are overcomers and victorious!
1 Peter 2:9: But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for His possession, so that you may proclaim the praises of the One who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.
