Proverbs 25:28 (NKJV) Whoever has no rule over his own spirit is like a city broken down, without walls.
In ancient times, the city walls were an important defence against raiding armies. A strong wall kept the enemy out, and the city protected. But if the walls were down,. the enemy would come and easily take the city.
In the same way, if you don’t keep some walls up around your spirit, and rule your atmosphere, then any and everything is going to get in. Stress, worry, anger, sleeplessness, anxiety.
When the enemy tries to strike, are you letting God fight your battles, or are you taking personal offense and trying to prove others wrong? You are a child of the King! He will fight your battles. Don’t allow the daily negatives to strike and take control of your spirit. Don’t be control by anger and hatred.
You have to take positive action daily. Study the Word. Spend time in prayer and worship.
Protect your atmosphere. What are you watching? What are you listening to? Is it building you up, making you more positive, more hopeful? Or is it tearing you down, stressing you out, making you angry, upset?
Claim it in your life today! Prayer: Let Not Your Heart Be Troubled
