Prayer: ???? Silencing the Voice of the Accuser
All of us, at some point, have listened to the devil’s accusations. The Bible says the devil is the accuser of brethren. There are 4 ways in which the devil accuses us.
1. The devil accuses us to God
2. He accuses us to himself
3. He accuses us to ourselves
4. He accuses us to others
The enemy is not happy that we have fellowship with God. He tries to separate us from God by accusing us to God, just as he accused Job to God. He tells God that if He blesses you with a house you will forget Him. He tells God that the reason why you love God is because you have money, but if God takes away that money, you won’t love Him anymore. He wants God to test us, and he wants us to fail the test. But thank God for the blood of the Lamb! By His blood, we have victory over the accuser!
Revelation 12:10 Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, “Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.
The enemy accuses us to himself by reminding us of what we have done, how we served him in our ignorance, before we believed in Jesus Christ. He wants us to believe we owe him, or we are still connected to him in some way, or we will suffer because of our past sins.
He says, you have always been in sexual sin, you have always watched pornography so you can’t come out. He says, the reason why things are not going well in your life is because of what you did in the past.
But: WHEN THE DEVIL REMINDS YOU OF YOUR PAST, REMIND HIM OF HIS FUTURE! When he tells you that your things are not going well because you have a messy past, remind Him that ALL THINGS WORK TOGETHER FOR THE GOOD OF THOSE WHO LOVE THE LORD. When he says you have always lived in sin, tell him that you died with Christ, and it is no longer you who lives but Christ that lives in you. You are dead to sin!
The devil tries to accuse us to ourselves. That voice that tells you that you are not good enough, you are not capable, you sinned and God doesn’t love you anymore, you won’t make heaven. That is the voice of the enemy.
Have you ever prayed for something and God didn’t do it your way, then you heard a voice telling you that God is not happy with you, or God is against you?
Many people who committed suicide listened to the enemy. The enemy told them that they have no reason to live anymore, or that nobody loves them or that they have messed up big time.
Little did they know that the devil is a liar, and there is no truth in him. When he tells a lie, he speaks from himself, for he is the father of lies. He takes advantage of your lack of knowledge of who God really is, and uses that to accuse you to yourself.
The enemy also accuses us to others. Have you ever seen someone who just dislikes you for no reason? Have you ever been misjudged? Have you ever been rejected and looked down on? It is because the devil went ahead of you to introduce you with a fake and ugly identity. It is not their fault, it is the devil’s doing. The devil can accuse your identity.
So today, we want to silence the voice of accusations in our lives. We are redeemed by Jesus’s precious blood, and we are free in Him, forever. The Bible says whoever the Son of Man sets free, is free indeed. We are free, and we refuse to believe any other thing. We believe in the blood of Jesus Christ, which speaks better things than that of Abel.
Hebrews 12:24 You have come to Jesus, the one who mediates the new covenant between God and people, and to the blood of sprinkling, which graciously forgives instead of crying out for vengeance as the blood of Abel did.
Let Us Pray – Prayer: ????Silencing the Voice of the Accuser
Oh Heavenly Father! Thank You for sending Your son, Jesus, to die in my place. Thank You Lord Jesus Christ for taking my shame and my sins and nailing them to Your cross.
Colossians 2:14 having cancelled the charge of our legal indebtedness, which stood against us and condemned us; he has taken it away, nailing it to the cross.
For at that moment on the cross, God’s wrath against all the earth was poured upon You, Lord Jesus! You became sin and God condemned all our sins in your flesh, that we may become the righteousness of God! Oh, how marvelous is your love; oh how great is your sacrifice! For we were all reconciled to God in You Lord Jesus! What manner of love is this! I hail You, Jesus!
Lord, you did not only forgive my sins on the cross, but You also shamed the enemy publicly in your death, by disarming him, and triumphing over him.
Colossians 2:15 [God] disarmed the principalities and powers that were ranged against us and made a bold display and public example of them, in triumphing over them in Him and in it [the cross].
So Lord, thank You for all You have done for me, and all You will still do for me. Thank You for loving me so much that You refused to give up on the rebel that I was, but You gave up Your precious life for me.
Lord, I pray that every accusation that the devil makes before You is invalid, for it is no longer I who lives, but Christ is the One who lives in me. So every accusation against me is made against Christ, who is alive in me.
1 Peter 5:8 (CEB) Be clearheaded. Keep alert. Your accuser, the devil, is on the prowl like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.
I know that sometimes I do things that I am not proud of as a child of God. I miss the point sometimes. But your Word tells me that you died for me while I was a sinner, and this means You loved me while I was still in rebellion against You.
I believe that, now that I am Your child, Your love for me will never fade. So help me to trust in Your love, when the enemy accuses me to himself or to myself. I am who You say I am. Your word says I am the righteousness of God, and that is it! In the name of Jesus Christ!
Romans 5:8 But God shows and clearly proves His [own] love for us by the fact that while we were still sinners, Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One) died for us.
2 Corinthians 5:21 He made the one who did not know sin to be sin on our behalf, in order that we could become the righteousness of God in him.
Oh Lord, I silence the voices of my accusers, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ! Every voice accusing my identity, be silenced in the name of Jesus. Every voice accusing my character, be silenced in the name of Jesus.
Isaiah 54:17 “No weapon that is fashioned against you shall succeed, and you shall confute every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord and their vindication from me, declares the Lord.”
Every voice accusing me to others, I overcome you by the blood of Jesus and in His mighty awesome name! Every voice of hopelessness and suicide crying in my ears, be silenced now, in the name of Jesus Christ, for my hope is in the Lord, and my help comes from Him.
Psalms 121:2 My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.
Oh Lord, every demonic veil upon me, let it catch fire and be consumed right now, in the name of Jesus Christ! Every veil of rejection and disfavor, causing others to reject and disfavor me, I say catch fire now, in the name of Jesus! I command every fake and demonic identity on me to catch fire and fall away, in the name of Jesus.
Every spirit that attempts to cover me and prevent others from seeing my good heart and kindness, catch fire and flee, in the name of Jesus. Every spirit that attempts to cover my face when I go for job interviews to cause rejection, your bond is broken now, in the name of Jesus.
I declare that I am loved, saved, redeemed and delivered in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen!
