⛪Keeping your faith real

Hi, Brothers and sisters in Christ! You are blessed to be a blessing!! Let’s take just a  few minutes to relax and meditate on God’s Word.  Today, we answer a question that came in via email. How do I keep my faith real?

Maintaining your faith from day to day can sometimes be a struggle. The fear and isolation caused by the pandemic can have some very negative effects on some people. In addition, things may not be going right. There may be illness in the family, death, or financial crises.

So, what are some of the things you can do to overcome this and remain strong and faithful?

1. Maintain your faith always. Try to avoid changing with the times. Remain in prayer and praise. Give thanks to the Lord throughout the day. Make it a habit.

Keep prayer and worship as part of your daily routine. And maintain time for the Word of God. So often, the Lord speaks to us through His word, to calm and bless us.

2. Develop a heart of gratitude. Look for the good in everything. And, when you speak, if you don’t have anything good to say, consider remaining silent. Every day, there is so much around you to give thanks for, if you are open to looking for these things. This will help you develop a positive outlook on life.

3. Practice habits that bring peace to you.

As you study the Word, the Holy Spirit will lead you to words of peace. Words that will calm you.

Ask for His wisdom to be able to look at the situations you are in with His eyes and to be able to walk with His Heart.

And many also choose to rest in the Psalms, which seem to hold within them all the varied emotions you may feel when going through difficult times.

Romans 8:28 reads, “And we know that all things work together for good, to them that love God, to them who are called, according to his purpose.”

Let us Pray

Oh Yahweh, Mighty Everlasting Father, I humbly come before Your throne of grace and mercy, laying down my life before You. I crave You Lord, You are my everything. Lord, I yearn to be in Your Holy presence, constantly seeking increased faith, Your will and Your great plans for my life.

Draw me nearer and closer to You daily, as my thirst is quenched by Your springs of living waters. You are my heart’s desire.

Increase my faith. Give me that strength and power to tear down any strongholds in my way, just as the walls of Jericho came crumbling down with that shout of faith. In Jesus mighty name I pray, Amen.
