???? Habits of the successful Christians! Part 5 – Exercise!

Hi Brothers and sisters in Christ! A happy and blessed Valentine’s Day!

AD!

Let’s take a few minutes to relax and meditate on God’s Word. Today, we continue our mini series on the Daily habits of successful Christians.

We know that true success is the result of the habits you develop over time. When we examine the lives of successful people and successful Christians, we realize they all have certain habits that they incorporate into their daily routine.

In this series, we have been examining your daily routine. What is your daily routine? Does it set you up for success or just for surviving the day? Our morning routine and our daily habits can either break or make us!

Yesterday we looked at – Writing Down Your Dreams and Goals

Today we look at – Exercise!

John chapter 1 verse 2 reads. Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well.

We honor God by taking care of our bodies. God wants us to enjoy good health as much as possible. Taking care of your body enables you to perform at your best and acheive your goals. Physical exercise helps you sleep better, and wards off many diseases including type 2 diabetes. Regular exercise also reduces stress and fatigue. It even helps with high blood pressure.

1 Corinthians 6, 19-20 reads –  Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.

And 1 Corinthians 10:31 reads – So whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.

Of course, you should also see your doctor before starting any physical exercise routine. But it is a good habit to develop. Those who exercise regularly are able to concentrate better and longer when studying the Word of God. Their focus is greater.

Entrepreneurs such as Richard Branson (who’s started over 400 companies) have long known that regular physical activity provides you with up to four extra hours of productivity every day. And even former President Barack Obama makes the time for a daily workout before his duties. Indeed, working hard, and working out, go hand-in-hand!

Let us Pray????

Oh Heavenly and Gracious Father, You are my Abba Father, my creator. Oh Lord, guide and direct my life each and every day. Lord, I pray to be blessed with discipline. Discipline to study your word on a regular basis. Discipline to exercise and take care of my body as I take care of my soul.

My God, I have the privilege of being created in your own image and likeness. Help me to treat my body as it deserves, so that I may serve you even better in your Kingdom. May it not be an act of vanity, but of humidity and love.

I ask this in the blessed name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
