???? Habits of the successful Christians! Part 3 – Listening to Faith-Building Messages
Hi Brothers and sisters in Christ! Welcome back, and may this blessing find you counting your blessings rather than your troubles! Let’s take a few minutes to relax and meditate on God’s Word. Today we continue our mini series on the Daily habits of successful Christians.
We know that true success is the result of the habits you develop over time. When we examine the lives of successful people and successful Christians, we realize they all have certain habits that they incorporate into their daily routine.
This week we examine your daily routine. What is your daily routine like? Does it set you up for success or just for surviving the day? Our morning routine and our daily habits can either break or make us!
Yesterday we looked at Reading and Obeying The Word of God.
Today we look at. – Listening to Faith-Building Messages Every Day
We are what we surround ourselves with. Just as they say, Show me your friends and I’ll tell you who you are.
You can tell a lot about a person by the company they keep. I have seen the damage done time and time again by people who once went to church, and still hanged out with their old friends only to find themselves pulled back into the world. Especially when you become a new believer, you can not hang out with the old friends in the same way you used to and think you will not be affected.
Now, I am not saying that you should never mingle with non christians or old friends but when they begin to have a negative effect on your spiritual life, then maybe it’s time to loosen the reins.
We are so blessed today to have such easy access to media all day long: – Youtube, Alexa, Christian Radio and Television. When we spend all our day listening to carnal music and watching shows that promote ungodly behaviour, it affects us spiritually.
Listening to messages that build up and encourages you spiritually, strengthens you, helps you grow your faith and fills you with the joy of the Lord.
Proverbs 1:5 reads, “A wise man will hear and increase in learning, and a man of understanding will acquire wise counsel.”
and Romans 10:17 says, So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Let us Pray
Jehovah Yahweh, I come before you on this beautiful day, to worship You. Almighty God, You are high and lifted up. Please, pour out Your power and love upon me.
Heavenly Father, I pray that day by day, I will be more transformed into the image of Christ, Your Beloved Son, in all aspects of who I am. Pour out Your Holy Spirit upon me as I yearn to know more about You and your will for my life.
May I be a good listener and doer of Your Word. I ask for supernatural transformation in my sinful life today. Change my heart. Guide my life. Make me new, and born again, through Christ. Mold me into who I am truly meant to be. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
