Praying For My Family

The family is the center of many of our lives. Whether we are praying for our children, grandchildren, parents, grandparents, and/or spouses, we all have family members we want to lift up to the Lord. Today’s prayers and Bibles verses for the family can serve as a aide as we bless our families and households.

Let us Pray

Families are struggling during these uncertain times.  Today, I lift up families to You, oh Lord and pray for your continued protection and blessings.  May we all continue to walk with you in every area of our lives. Help us to understand that embracing all you have done for us, is the best thing we can do.  We bless your name, Jesus!

Isaiah 32:18  My people will live in peaceful dwelling places, in secure homes, in undisturbed places of rest.

Oh Heavenly Father, I ask your protective covering over my family and my home. Make it a sanctuary of peace and love.  Fill my home with joy and laughter. Take away any anger, malice and sadness. Bless each and every member of my family at this time, oh Lord.

Joshua 24:15 But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.

Heavenly Father, I thank you for each member of my family. Lord, some have drifted away from your path. Reach out to them, oh Lord, that they may return to you.

You promised me Abba, that if I bring up my children in the right way, they will honor You. At this time,  some of them have turned completely from You and Your Word. So today, I look to You for hope and encouragement. I declare success, health, strength and prosperity over them. Amen.

Isaiah 54:13 – All your children shall be taught by the Lord, and great shall be the peace of your children.

Proverbs 3:33 The Lord curses the house of the wicked, but he blesses the home of the upright.

Heavenly Father, bless our humble home. May it be a home of the upright and the faithful. Let your praise adorn this home. I bless every corner of this house, every window and every door is covered by the precious blood of Jesus. Sanctify it in Your Holy name. Amen! 

Proverbs 24:3-4 MSG It takes wisdom to build a house, and understanding to set it on a firm foundation; It takes knowledge to furnish its rooms with fine furniture and beautiful draperies.

Grant me the understanding and knowledge of You and Your word. As I open my Bible to read the scriptures, give me wisdom and discernment.

Help me to learn how to be more understanding, kind, patient and compassionate towards my brother just as You were when You walked the earth and came to save us.
