Evening Prayer for Night-time Blessing

Psalm 4:8 In peace I will both lie down and sleep. For you alone, O LORD, make me dwell in safety.

David was a great man of prayer, and most of his Psalms can even be used to pray back to God,  such as Psalm 55 where David says, “Evening and morning and at noon I utter my complaint and moan, and he hears my voice” (Psalm 55:17).

God hears our prayers and he listens to our moans. Day and night, he’s there for us.

Let Us Pray

Lord, as I come to this day’s end, I give You thanks for all the blessings You’ve bestowed upon me today.

You have blessed me with the strength, wisdom, peace, and protection to power through this day. 

Now as I lay down to rest at the close of the day, cover me with your protective wing and remove all anxiety that my rest may be peaceful and reviving. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
