Prayer for a Heavy Heart

Psalm 55:22 – “Cast your burden on the Lord, and he will sustain you; he will never permit the righteous to be moved.”

Burdens and stress can be overwhelming and it weighs on your heart. Sometimes it’s difficult to shake off this heaviness. But we are not alone along this journey.

Are you feeling like you’re just stuck, and tired of trying to keep moving forward? The Lord is with you. Turn to His Word and watch Him work. And testify of His goodness!

The Word of God is our source of strength and purpose. God gives peace, security and calmness to a troubled soul.

Prayer for a Heavy Heart

Lord, I come to you with a humble heart and lay my burdens on you. Search me, Lord and know my hear. Test me and know my anxious ways. 

Take away everything within me that is not of you. Especially the sin that I am not aware of, Lord. I lay these at your feet and pray for your forgiveness. I believe you when you say that you wash us whiter than snow.

Thank you, Lord, for your unconditional and unending love for me! Bless me with your peace and calmness. Remove the heaviness in my heart. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
