Jeremiah 17:7-8
“But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him. They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.”
That feeling of utter frustration when you can’t understand where everything is heading. Nothing seems to make sense. Sometimes it seems we are heading backwards instead of forward. We scream out “God, why is all this happening to me”? But, God’s ways are not our ways.
Isaiah 55:8 “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the LORD.
This is where we act in faith. We trust our God, regardless of the circumstances around us. He promises, that all things work together for our good, for those that love the Lord. The difficulties, the delays, the losses, the closed doors. We give it all to the Lord, and move forward in faith.
“Heavenly Father, I’m lost, I don’t understand. But I trust You. For You are in control. I will remain in Your peace, knowing that You are working all things out for me. Guide me and bless me. Direct my steps. In Jesus’ mighty and holy name I pray, Amen.”
