Nothing Happens Until You Speak!
In Luke 1, when the angel told Zechariah that his wife, Elizabeth, was going to have a baby, he was surprised because of their age. Unlike Abraham (in Monday’s newsletter) however, his reaction was different. Zechariah doubted and spoke words of negativity. Abraham never sopped believing God’s promise. He said, “How can I be sure of this? I am an old man and my wife is well along in years.”
The angel said, “Zechariah, it’s going to happen, but now you will be silent and not able to speak until the day this happens because you did not believe my words.”
That’s how powerful your words are. God knew that if Zechariah went around speaking defeat and failure, “We’re too old. This isn’t possible,” that would stop the promise.
When the enemy fills you with doubt and negativity, turn to the Lord, feed on His Word, declare His promises, trust in His Word.
Declaration: I am forgiven. I am prosperous. I am healthy. I am free. I am blessed and highly favored. God is opening doors that no man can shut.
