The enemy is constantly trying to fill our thoughts with negativity. Be careful what you allow yourself to think. If those thoughts do not agree with the Word of God, do not allow them to fester and grow.
Philippians 4:8 “Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.”
When the enemy whispers “You’re weak and worthless.” Remind yourself that the Scripture says, “Let the weak say, ‘I am strong'” (Joel 3:10).
We can rise above the constant negativity around us. The Word of God is filled with encouragement for the child of God.
2 Timothy 1:7 (AMP)
For God did not give us a spirit of timidity or cowardice or fear, but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of sound judgment and personal discipline [abilities that result in a calm, well-balanced mind and self-control].
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, today I choose to change my thinking and my thoughts. Bless me with positive thoughts. Help me keep my eyes focused on You and all that You have done and will do in my life. I give you thanks for this wonderful day. I bring Your peace into my life and into my household. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
