1 Peter 5:8-9 “Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith.”
We are in a spiritual battle. We wrestle not against flesh and blood but against principalities and powers and the rulers of darkness and even against spiritual wickedness.
But the Lord has blessed us with all the tools we need to be victorious in Christ Jesus. Yes, on our own, we are nothing. We have also been well-prepared by the Lord. We have been armed with the sword, the Word of God, to conquer the lies of the enemy.
His Holy Spirit gives us strength, wisdom and most of all, discernment to overcome the tricks and wiles of the enemy. In Christ, we are more than conquerors. We are overcomers!
