2 Corinthians 1:8b-9 “We were under great pressure, far beyond our ability to endure, so that we despaired of life itself. 9 Indeed, we felt we had received the sentence of death. But this happened that we might not rely on ourselves but on God, who raises the dead.”
We have all experienced those times when we just can’t understand what is going on in our lives. We are under extreme pressure at work, school, and home.
Bills suddenly begin to pile up. Appliances stop working. We feel forsaken by loved ones, lost, direction-less. Things just don’t seem to make any sense!
But these things happen so that we may stop relying on ourselves and giving ourselves all the praise, and instead rely on God.
Greater is He who is in you, than he who is in the world.
Turn your focus to God and rest your burdens there. He will take you through this period of stress and pressure.
