Overcoming the demons of Negativity
Many of us seek out the negative in any and every situation. We complain and gripe about everything.
Yet, how often do we give appreciation for the multitude of things that go right in our lives each and every day?
Philippians 4:8 “Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.”
Yes, it’s a mouthful! Yet, these are the things that we should focus on. Negative thoughts brew negative thoughts. Thankfulness and gratitude pushes away negativity.
And these positive thoughts give you the energy to move forward. Celebrate the beauty in each and every day. Yes, it takes effort initially. But you can make it a habit.
Ephesians 5:20 “Giving thanks always and for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
If you are giving thanks for everything, you don’t have time to be thinking negatively about your problems.
Instead, you can concentrate on praying and giving it all to the Lord, trusting Him to deal with it as He promised in His Word!
Start each day reminding yourself: “Something great is going to happen to me today! Thank you Lord.”
