✍ Habits of the successful Christians! Part 4 – Write Your Dreams and Goals
Hi Brothers and sisters in Christ! Welcome back, and may this blessing find you counting your blessings rather than your troubles! We close the week with this Morning Prayer of Praise The Great Things He Has Done
Let’s take a few minutes to relax and meditate on God’s Word. Today we continue our mini series on the Daily Habits of Successful Christians.
We know that true success is the result of the habits you develop over time. When we examine the lives of successful people and successful Christians, we realize they all have certain habits that they incorporate into their daily routine.
This week we have been examining your daily routine. What is your daily routine? Does it set you up for success or just for surviving the day? Our morning routine and our daily habits can either break or make us!
Yesterday we looked at – Listening to Faith-Building Messages Every Day
Today we look at – Writing Down Your Dreams and Goals
Habakkuk 2:2 reads. “Then the Lord answered me and said: “Write the vision, and make it plain on tablets, that he may run who reads it.””
Someone once said, “Goals that are not written down are just wishes.” What are your goals and dreams today? Without goals to achieve, we become rudderless (without direction), and unfocussed, drifting from day to day without purpose. Every Christian should write down their top goals and place them where they can see them daily. It may be a mirror, your Bible, or even the refrigerator.
Joel 2:28 reads, And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:
And in Acts 2:17, “In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams.”
When you have dreams and visions, write them down as well. Keep a record as much as possible.
Ensure that your goals and dreams are in line with God’s plans. When our goals are in tune with God’s plans and when we ask for His help, we can and will succeed. Remember the Lord’s promise, Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and it will be opened to you (Matthew 7:7).
And remember James’ warning, “When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures.” (James 4:3).
So, whatever you do, “Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.” Psalm 37:4 NIV

Let us Pray
Oh Heavenly and Gracious Father, I humbly come before you, laying my goals and plans before you. Lord, bless my plans. If they are not of you, reveal it to me, Lord. Direct my feet, my mind, my heart so that all I do, will be according to your will.
Lord, guide me daily, that I may focus my time on achieving the goals you have set out for me. May I seek after your truth and your path for my life.
May I prepare myself daily to conquer the enemy and reach for my goals. Help me Lord to make the very best use of my time, because these days are evil.
Bless me with wisdom and time management. May I make the most of each and every hour. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.

Matthew 17:20. “Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.’”
